The moment Sean realized he could control two turntables on his home stereo, was the moment he wanted to be a DJ. After taking his band’s sound system to a friend's wedding, he realized this was something he could profit from. Graduating from broadcasting school in 1984, Sean immediately found work in radio, honing his music mixing skills. A quick trip to the resort town of Jackson Hole, Wyoming in 1987, encouraged Sean to relocate to this town to pursue a career in broadcasting. The demand for a mobile DJ was incredible and in 1988, he and a friend created a company.

In 1994, Sean and his wife, Julie, purchased the company and built it up to a full fledged mobile DJ, Sound and Lighting company. With three separate sound systems, they provided the Jackson Hole and Yellowstone area with a quality service. From hundreds of weddings to corporate events, including clients such as Microsoft, The Discovery Channel and the Lynyrd Skynyrd Band, Sean & Julie kept the western side of Wyoming entertained for over 13 years.

With the birth of their first son, they decided to move back to the east coast to be closer to family. Asheville, NC was right in the middle, so here they settled. It is here that while looking for work, Sean discovered that Premier Sound & Light, already in existence since 1984, was up for sale. The combination of experience and equipment quickly made Premier Sound & Light one the most sought after DJ companies in the wedding industry.

Today, Premier has three fully functional sound systems. Our staff consists of two very dear friends to both Sean & Julie. Meet Our DJ's. So their commitment to their work is more than a temporary job to pay the bills. They both worked hand in hand with Sean for months before taking on the challenge of a wedding themselves. Through an extensive training and shadowing program, you're getting more than just a DJ. You’re getting peace of mind, knowing that even the smallest detail will be taken care of at your wedding or special event.
